CFADA member galleries will welcome you to Charleston with opening receptions where you are invited to meet local and visiting artists, see their work and other exhibitions.

Admission is free to the public


Saturday, November 3, 9 a.m. - Noon

   

Plein Air demonstrations in Washington Park where you may watch the artists work. Painting in the Park is open to the public and will feature regionally and nationally known artists from participating CFADA galleries. In conjunction with the Painting in the Park, visitors will also meet the city’s next generation of artists, and view a select group of paintings, created by some of the city’s most talented students. At 11 a.m., the association will host its Fourth Annual High School Art Competition, recognizing the top three students who have excelled in the visual arts.

Second Annual Charleston Art Auction
Participate in one of the South's premier auctions with more than 100 contemporary and period works of art to choose from, including paintings from morning's plein air demonstrations.

10:00 AM - 4:30 PM - Preview
5:30 PM - 7:00 PM - Preview Reopens
7:15 PM - Auction begins

Funds raised at the event will go towards much needed art supplies to nine of the area high schools, including, Burke High School, James Island Charter High School, North Charleston High School, R.B. Stall High School, School of the Arts, Septima P. Clark Academy, St. John’s High School, Wando High School and West Ashley High School.
Cost is $40 per person (tax deductible)
